Young at Heart@The Movie Theater Mall

Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you
If you’re young at heart…………………..
……………… And if you should survive to 105
Look at all you’ll derive out of being alive
Then here is the best part
You have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart

Yes, it’s a lovely song, isn’t it? I think everyone knows it’s one of Frank Sinatra’s signature songs. The film “Young at Heart (1954)” gave us this beautiful song. According to the film someone said that “This is not a classic film. It won't be on any best of lists. It is simply a wonderful film that you can enjoy when you want to see a good movie.” Another said that “Frank Sinatra and Doris Day are totally believable throughout and compliment each other perfectly. The cast as a whole works very well, the characters are all complex and not over-the-top or dull. In short, it is a perfectly likable film.”

How many people do realize that there’s another beautiful song to help remember the film’s value besides the title song, Frank Sinatra, Doris Day and other stars? Here you are!

THERE’S A RISING MOON
(Sammy Cain / Paul Francis Webster)
Recorded by: Doris Day; Phyllis Ford

There’s a rising moon for every falling star
Makes no difference just how sad or blue you are
One never knows about tomorrow
Just what another day may bring
One moment in your heart it’s Winter
Comes a rose and suddenly it’s Spring
There’ll be times of sorrow; there’ll be times of joy
And a bright tomorrow for each girl and boy
Who knows what happiness is waiting
Just a kiss away from where you are
There’s a rising moon for every falling star
